    Anzac  Day
Anzac Day is the 25th April, the date in 1917 when Australian and New Zealand troops landed on the shores of Gallipoli in Turkey at a place that became known as Anzac Cove

As in schools all over Australia, in the days before ANZAC Day, Durack holds a service in memory of those who fought and those who died defending our way of life in the Great War and in wars that followed.

It involves hundreds of South-Eastern Queensland primary and secondary school students in a very moving and solemn commemoration observance.
