Buddha's Birthday, celebrates three major events in Buddha's life - his birth, enlightenment and his death. This is the most significant festival in the Buddhist calendar and as part of the tradition, it is often celebrated by bathing the baby Buddha. This offers the opportunity to start afresh by being generous, kind and caring. In Buddhist culture this is a colourful and joyous occasion, all the better when shared by many. We would like to invite our children who attend Buddhist religious Instruction to come together join in the celebration and even bathe the baby Buddha if they wish. Mums and dads are most welcome. This event will be held in the library at 9:30 on Friday the 11 June.
